We tested the 1g BOV (Air Bypass Valve) for leakage three ways:
1. Stock 2. Crushed 3. Crushed with Seal Kit Mods.
The test fixture was a 7gal (.966 cu ft) air tank with a flange welded
on the top. We mounted the BOV and filled the tank to 30psi,
then used a stopwatch to time the leakage and recorded time vs psi
as it leaked. Then we pressurized the tank with the modded valve
to 50psi and IT HELD! Leakage was only .060 SCFM
The data is below:

SCF is the Standard Cubic Feet of air in the tank at that pressure.
eg at 30psi there are 2 cu ft of air that can escape in a 1cu ft tank.
SCFM is the leakage rate in SCF per minute. (60*SCFM change/Telapsed
change).
Telapsed is elapsed time in seconds.
Results: in this test, from 25 to 24psi, the crushed BOV leaked .232SCFM
the stock .251 (within experimental error) while the Modded
BOV leaked only .046 or 1/5 ( 5 TIMES LESS).
